S T A T E M E N T

I have always viewed the world through a prism of color, texture, and light. My eyes instinctively arrange and create visual order. When I began working in collage, I knew I had discovered the perfect medium for my voice. I find joy in the ongoing experimentation of merging collage with painting. The intersection of fine arts and crafts continually fascinates me. I elevate traditional craft materials and techniques by thoughtfully creating compositions that are modern and fresh, using both familiar and timeworn elements. Lately, I have been developing unique collage materials that bring a personal and original perspective to my work.

Vintage. Modern. Graphic. Textural. Complex. Ordered. Colorful. Earthy. Architectural. Organic.

I harness and arrange the ephemera and curiosities I collect and covet, elevating the mundane and challenging the expected with a diverse and direct visual vocabulary. My voice is authentic, with a clarity and vision that is singular and resolute.

I take pride in sharing my work with others, opening their eyes to new ways of perceiving everyday materials and deepening their emotional connections to the relics and keepsakes of their personal histories.

Creativity is allowing oneself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
